NOTICE TO THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP OF THE EVANSTON/NORTH SHORE BRANCH OF THE NAACP #3015
As we prepare for the 2026 Branch Elections, please review the eligibility requirements from the 2025 Bylaws.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING. Only members in good standing may run or vote.
TO RUN FOR OFFICE

• Must be a bona fide member by April 1
• Maintain continuous membership
• Live and/or work within Branch jurisdiction

FOR PARTICIPATION (Nominating Committee, Election Supervisory Committee, Signing Petitions, or Voting) Must be a bona fide member of the Branch for at least 30 calendar days prior to: – The election date OR – Submission of a nominating petition
RESTRICTIONS ON CERTAIN OFFICES The Unit President, Treasurer, and Secretary may NOT be related by: – Blood – Marriage – Common law marriage – Adoption
All candidates will be covered under the National NAACP Bonding Policy If unable to be bonded, DO NOT submit a consent form for:

• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
